1920s Fashion Trends

Ok, so if you all have been reading this blog, you will know that I have favorite decades in fashion. I have already discussed the 50s, and why that is my favorite decade; now I will talk about the 20s. History about the 20s: After WWI, women were tired of being stuffed in corsets to create an hourglass shape. They wanted to be free to dress how they wanted to dress, and not have to feel constricted. Fashion had changed slightly during the 1910s when the hobble skirt was created, but it was not enough. When the 1920s came around, fashion went from this:




 Thanks to designers like Coco Chanel, women had gotten rid of the corsets and the S-Curve dresses, and started wearing knee-length dresses with more drape. We should thank Coco Chanel for creating dresses and separates that are more relaxing for women to wear. She truly changed fashion forever.
